Closed loop timing belt are used for projects where continuous rotation is needed.
It is also commonly used in vacuum cleaner for driving the brush roller.

- Belt Length listed are PERIMETER of the belt.
- So if you need a belt that can extend about 200mm apart between 2 points, you need at least 400mm (or more) belt, NOT 200mm.

1. I am looking to replace the broken belt for my vacuum, but I don't know which belt to buy.
- For all closed loop timing belts, their specifications such as Belt Perimeter and Tooth Profile will be printed on the belt.
- E.g.: 2M-162 (2M Tooth Profile, 162mm Belt Perimeter)
- For some belts, belt width is also included. E.g.: 2GT-400-6 (2GT Tooth Profile, 400mm Belt Perimeter, 6mm Belt Width).
- For replacing vacuum belt, it is very likely your belt is "2M-142" / "2M-162".
- Just choose the option which corresponds to your belt perimeter (142mm / 162mm).
- Do note that you will receive "142-2GT" / "162-2GT" from us (2GT instead of 2M).
- But they are exactly the same as 2M-142" / "2M-162".
- 2M and 2GT simply means 2mm tooth pitch, they are the exact same tooth profile.
- If you are not sure which is the correct belt, just chat with us, we will try our best to help!
2. The tooth profile of my belt is 2M, is it the same as 2GT?
- Yes, 2M and 2GT are the exact same tooth profile.
- For the belts you will receive from us, the wordings on it are a mixture of 2M and 2GT.
- Some will be "2M", some will be "2GT".
- But both are the exact same tooth profile.
- So if your closed loop timing belt has "2M" written on it, it is the same profile as 2GT/GT2, and you can safely purchase our belts.
3. I am looking for a closed loop timing belt for my 3D printed/cnc machine/robotic projects, may I know if this fits a regular GT2 / 2GT timing pulley?
- Yes, our belts fit perfectly with regular GT2 / 2GT timing pulleys.
- If you are hesitant, we carry our own GT2 / 2GT timing pulleys, which is tested to work with our closed loop timing belt.
