Organic Blend Quinoa is native to South America and is a pseudo-cereal. It's actually a gluten-free seed but used in cooking just like a whole grain. This stunning plant was domesticated thousands of years ago near Lake Titicaca and grows high in the high plateaus of the Andes, where it was a mainstay of the ancient Inca diet. Colorful quinoa is delicious on its own, whether in pilafs, soups, or salads; the beautiful color can elevate even the simplest dishes. Our organic quinoa blend contains red, white, and black quinoa that has been thoroughly rinsed and air-dried to remove naturally occurring bitter saponins.

Preparation:
1. Put 2 cups of water (a small amount) in a wide-bottomed saucepan.
2. Boil.
3. Add 1 cup of quinoa, cover, and bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed.
