introducing our Valampuri sangu. The Valampuri Sangu, also known as the Dakshinavarti Sangu, traces its origins to ancient Indian scriptures and mythology. Legend has it that during the great raising of the cosmic ocean (Samudra Manthan), the Devas (celestial beings) and Asuras (demons) sought to obtain the nectar of immortality (Amrita) from the depths of the ocean. In this heavenly struggle, the Valampuri Sangu emerged as one of the divine treasures, symbolizing purity, abundance, and spiritual awakening.
In Hinduism, the Valampuri Sangu holds profound religious significance and is often associated with Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe. It is believed that blowing the Valampuri Sangu during sacred rituals and ceremonies invokes divine blessings, purifies the surroundings, and dispels negative energy. The left-handed (Sinhalese) or clockwise (Hindu) spiral of the conch is said to channel positive cosmic vibrations, aligning the practitioner with the flow of universal harmony
