Insta360's next camera hardly changes visually. As far as we can tell, Insta360 has added a microphone hole beneath the X4's camera. Nonetheless, the Insta360 X4 is said to weigh 203 g, which would be 23 g heavier than its predecessor.
Thus, the Insta360 X4 is taller but thinner than its predecessor while maintaining its 46 mm width. Reportedly, the upcoming action camera not only supports 8K/30 FPS output but also 5.7K at 60 FPS or 4K at 100 FPS. The Insta360 X4 is expected to maintain 18 MP or 72 MP outputs when capturing 360-degree shots, though.
However, Insta360 has increased its battery capacity from 1,800 mAh to 2,290 mAh (8.82 Wh). As a result, the Insta360 X4 should be capable of capturing up to 70 minutes of 8K recordings with a 200 Mbps bit rate. Alternatively, the action camera is rumoured to last upwards of 100 minutes when dropping the resolution to 5.7K.
