It was established in the UK in the 1960s and since then has been well known for its reliability and high quality. The name “ORBIT” was originally inspired by Sputnik, the world’s first artificial satellite which was put into earths’ orbit in 1957. At that time, ORBIT was among the very few manufacturers in the world who made hose clips.

When the business started, ORBIT hose clips were sold only in the domestic UK market. It did not take long, however, before ORBIT hose clips were widely accepted in the UK, due to their high quality, and their market share expanded rapidly.
