The Malaysian Ministry of Education will provide two national flag badges for free to all students in the 2025/2026 school year. The Ministry of Education issued a statement on Thursday (March 27) saying that from April 21, 2025, the measure of students wearing the national flag will be implemented in stages in all institutions under its jurisdiction. "This includes all government schools, government-aided schools, preparatory colleges and teacher training colleges. This move aims to cultivate and deepen the patriotic feelings and sense of identity of students and educators.
According to the guidelines, students must wear a national flag badge measuring 5 cm long and 2.5 cm wide on the right side of their uniforms, parallel to their name tags.
