ESPADA Y15 28MM 30MM 35MM BP-II BACKPRESSURE RACING EXHAUST
Back pressure is the pressure exerted by the exhaust gases against the exhaust system, acting as a resistance to the flow of these gases.
Why is some back pressure needed?
Two-stroke engines: Rely on a resonant pulse through the exhaust system (back pressure) to run properly, as they don't have valves.
Four-stroke engines: Need a certain amount of back pressure to ensure the valve system functions correctly and prevent raw fuel from escaping through the exhaust valve.
Consequences of excessive back pressure:
Reduced power: Excessive back pressure restricts exhaust gas flow, leading to a decrease in engine performance.
Increased engine temperatures: Reduced exhaust flow can cause the engine to overheat.
