ORS B Plus Oral Rehydration Salt 50’s Oral rehydration therapy is a type of fluid replacement used to prevent and treat dehydration, especially that due to diarrhea. It involves drinking water with modest amounts of sugar and salts, specifically sodium and potassium. Oral rehydration therapy can also be given by a nasogastric tube.
Dissolve contents of 1 sachet in 250 mL cool, boiled water. Adult 250 mL 4 times for 1st 2 hour up to 12 times daily. Children 2-5 yr 250 mL 3 times for 1st 2 hour up to 6 times daily; less than 2 yr 250 mL for 1st 2 hour up to tds.
