E309L-16 provides welding deposit E309-16, but with reduced carbon content(up to 0.04%) to improve resistance to intergranular. E309L-16 type is used to join stainless steel to itself or carbon or low alloy steel. E309L-16 is more suitable than E309-16 for cladding and heat-treated dissimilar joints of carbon or low alloy steel.
-1.0mm and 1.2mm electrodes have strict requirements on welding machine current and need to be adjusted slowly. It is not recommended for beginners and people who are new to welding to use thin plates, especially below 1mm. 1.0mm and 1.2mm electrodes are too thin and not suitable for welding. It will shake back and forth. For customers with rich welding experience, if you want to weld thin plates around 0.5mm, you can choose 1.4mm welding rods. Please check the welding rod current range before welding to avoid unnecessary troubles for both parties.
- Before welding, the electrode needs to be baked at 300-350℃ for 1 hour.
- Try to use DC power supply, and the current should not be too large.
