MPH - Echo Overture: Please Let Her Know

When Rain Xuan was six years old, his father suddenly disappeared. Left with no choice, he followed his mother back to their hometown in Taiping from Kuala Lumpur.

In Taiping, he met someone who would become an important part of his life—Ah Hui.

Rain Xuan and Ah Hui grew up together as childhood sweethearts, inseparable companions who witnessed each other’s youth. They explored countless places, admired countless landscapes, and built memories that intertwined with their emotions, layer upon layer over the years.

Bubble gum, movie theaters, old English songs, mini buses, courtyards, lotus flowers, the moon— to Rain Xuan, all of these were synonymous with Ah Hui, irreplaceable in his heart.

However, Rain Xuan could never let go of his father’s disappearance. The fear of becoming a man who couldn't keep his promises, just like his father, haunted him. He hesitated to make commitments, afraid he wouldn't meet Ah Hui’s expectations. In the end, Ah Hui chose to leave, and the two gradually faded from each other’s lives.

At the age of nineteen, Rain Xuan fulfilled his dream of studying abroad in Taiwan. The distance between them brought nostalgia, rekindling deep and unforgettable memories of Ah Hui. He realized that her presence had never truly left his heart—on the contrary, it became clearer with time.
