Ruby in zoisite, also known as anyolite, is a metamorphic rock with a complex crystal structure. It consists of multiple minerals, including ruby crystals, green zoisite, and sometimes pargasite and hornblende. The crystal structure is trigonal, while zoisite has an orthorhombic structure. Ruby has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, while zoisite ranges from 6.5 to 7. Its color is vibrant and contrasting, with ruby crystals ranging from pinkish-red to deep red.
