How to Fix it?
Just screws on to the faucet then you run a separate small line to your countertop water filter. This diverter is a female fitting so your faucet should be a male fitting or you have to buy an adapter.
The valve alternatively serves as the connector between faucet and countertop filtration system. It has a lever to turn to divert water to the Normal/Filter System. When it is at OFF/DOWN position, you can still use the kitchen faucet water. When it is at ON/UP position, it diverts water to Filter System
