- 15g of live milk kefir grains or 150ml of milk kefir starter culture
- home brewed milk kefir to ensure quality of kefir grains/culture is grown.
- 3 heat-sealed food grade bags to prevent leakage
*Store in refrigerator as long as 3 months if not used immediately (it might take up to 2 to 3 brew for the scoby to revive back to its previous vitality after refrigerated).
*The grains/culture is able to survive in it's special medium during delivery for up to 1 month.

Milk kefir is a centuries-old fermented drink with roots in the Caucasus Mountains and Eastern Europe. Traditionally made from cow’s or goat’s milk, milk kefir grains contain a symbiotic blend of bacteria and yeasts, giving the drink its signature tang and creamy texture. It is widely known for its powerful probiotic benefits and has been enjoyed as a health tonic for generations.
1. 15g milk kefir grains or 150ml milk kefir starter culture
2. 1000ml milk (cow, goat, or plant-based* – avoid ultra-pasteurized)
3. Glass jar, breathable cover (cloth/coffee filter), rubber band, plastic strainer
2. Place 15g kefir grains or 150ml of milk kefir starter culture into a glass jar with 1000 ml milk.
3. Ferment for at least 24 hours.
4. Cover with a breathable cloth and secure with a rubber band.
5. Leave at room temperature (20-25°C) for 12-24 hours, until thickened and tangy.
7. Strain the liquid into a new container and refrigerate, save the grains for the next batch.
Optional: Second Fermentation
1. Leave the strained kefir at room temperature for 6-12 hours to enhance flavor, then refrigerate.
