Portmeirion Pottery Pomona
Portmeirion Pottery was founded in 1960 by pottery designer Susan Williams-Ellis in Stoke-on-Trent - the Pottery Capital of England.
In 1972, Portmeirion introduced Botanical Garden which is possibly its most well known line, which is still manufactured today. Virtually all of Portmeirion’s products are manufactured at their pottery plant in Stoke. In 2009, Portmeiron acquired Royal Worcester and Spode, and brought most of Spode’s manufacturing back from the Far East back to its own factory.
Portmeirion Pomona dinnerware is a range of patterns featuring designs depicting fruits and nuts from the orchard which is apt as Pomona is the Roman goddess of fruit. Portmeirion Pomona is no longer in production.
