CATAPPA LEAVES / DAUN KETAPANG

Catappa leaves (aka "Indian Almond leaves") come from the Terminalia catappa tree. These trees are found throughout the tropical world, in Asia, Africa, and Australia. They can reach a height of over 100 feet tall, so we're not talking about a wimpy little bush here!

 

Benefits of Catappa leaves: -

- anti-parasitic;

- anti-bacterial;

- anti-fungal properties;

- thus keep the water free from pathogens, resulting in healthier and stronger fish;

- It can lower the pH value of the water body within a certain period of time; and

- Can create a favorable living environment for fry, especial for betta breeding.

 

Method to use Catappa leaves:

Put the mature and dry leaves into a filter tank, or tie them directly into a tank, or soak them into thick juice and add them to water, etc. A 20*20*40cm tank can hold 2-4 slices at a time. If the aquarium is large, it can be followed by analogy and replaced when the leaves rot.

Cara menggunakan daun Ketapang: -

Masukkan daun matang dan kering ke dalam tangki penapis, atau ikatkannya dan masuknya terus ke dalam tangki, atau rendamnya ke dalam jus pekat dan tambahkan ke dalam air, dll. Tangki 20 * 20 * 40cm boleh guna 2-4 keping sekaligus. Sekiranya akuarium itu besar, ia boleh diikuti dengan analogi dan diganti apabila daunnya reput.
