Unrefined dark brown soft cane sugar undergoes less processing than white and brown sugar. It maintains some original molasses undertones and natural depth of complex flavour. The colour is very dark brown to red shades and has a moist and soft texture. This truly unrefined sugar retains a higher proportion of molasses than other types of sugar. It has a slightly deeper flavour with notes of caramel and toffee.
