Tempera Paste
- Permanent, fast-drying painting medium consisting of colored pigments mixed with a water-soluble binder medium (usually glutinous material such as egg yolk or some other size)
- Very long lasting
- Water-soluble, and the majority of tempera paint available is non-toxic. The paste's creamy consistency helps it flow smoothly onto paper, cardboard, cloth, wood, or canvas and provides excellent coverage, which allows kids to use a variety of creative painting techniques.
