The objective of the device and how it works.

This simple tool is specially made to solve the oil palm plantation worker’s problem in harvesting the fresh fruit bunches (FFBS) from the tall palm trees with different heights.

Once it is installed into the long interconnecting harvesting poles, the workers can easily adjust their erected poles to different heights by just turning the lower pole in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction.

This means that, in the future, they don’t have to bring down and lift up the long poles for tall palms harvesting adjustment anymore. This will greatly reduce their workload and increase high productivity.

Construction of the device

This tool is made up of the special function interlocking connectors (Polypropylene – PP), the expandable cylindrical sleeves (Thermoplastic Elastomer – TPE) and the eccentric locking sleeve (Polyurethane – PU). All these Plastic component parts are then joined together by using the metal fastener set comprising of GI cap screws, GI flat washers, metal lock pins, and nylon locknuts.
