* Strong & Durable - Heat shrink solder seal connectors create a strong and permanent connection between wires. The solder provides a secure electrical connection, while the heat shrink tubing protects the connection from damage and provides strain relief.
* Waterproof - The polyolefin heat shrink tubing and the hot-melt adhesive provide a barrier against moisture, making heat shrink solder seal connectors ideal for use in outdoor or marine environments.
* Easy Installation and Time Saving - Heat shrink solder seal connectors are easy to install by using only a hot air gun or lighter and require no additional materials, such as solder or tape, to create a secure connection. They can save time compared to traditional methods of soldering and insulating wire connections separately.
1. Strip about 1/2 inch of insulation from the wires that will be connected.
2. Insert both wires into the heat shrink solder seal connector. Ensure the exposed wire ends meet in the center of the solder sleeve.
3. Use a heat gun or lighter to heat the connector, moving the heat source evenly back and forth over the length of the connector until the polyolefin heat shrink tubing shrinks down tightly around the wires, the solder sleeve and the adhesive melt to create a secure connection.
4. Once the connector has cooled, inspect the connection to ensure the wires are properly joined and sealed.
* Avoid overheating the connector, as this can damage the connector and the wires.
* If the wires are not fully joined after heating, try heating the connector again or repositioning the wires to ensure they are making good contact.
* When using a lighter, be sure not to apply the fire directly onto the connector and maintain at least 1 - 2 cm gap between the fire and the connector.
