The detector features photoelectric detection which has been proven to detect smouldering fires faster than their ionisation counterparts.# This type of detector is great for most aplications provided they are not extremely drafty or dusty.

These detectors are powered from a 9VDC battery which is supplied with the unit.

Smoke Detectors must be tested regularly and the battery changed annualy to ensure correct operation!
