A dark, stronger tasting honey from Rewarewa flowers. Rewarewa Honey comes from the nectar of the Rewarewa tree, also known as the honey-suckle tree. The elegant and stately Rewarewa tree stands tall and high above the other trees in New Zealand’s native bush. These unusual cylindar shaped flowers only blossum for a short period of time which makes this honey very special. During the late spring and early New Zealand summer (November-December) the tree covered with masses of beautiful, but delicate, red flowers which freely release their nectar.

Rewarewa Honey has a rich, full-bodied caramel-like flavour and a beautiful deep reddish amber appearance. Rewarewa Honey is high in natural antioxidants and high in hydrogen peroxide which helps in healing and fighting against bacteria.
