Why buy acrylic glue?

Acrylic cement is designed to bond acrylic materials together, such as acrylic sheets, rods, and tubes. It is not recommended for use with other types of plastics or materials, as it may not form a strong bond or could damage the surfaces being bonded.

 

It is important to note that different types of acrylic may require different types of acrylic cement. For example, some types of acrylic cement are designed for use with cast acrylic, while others are designed for use with extruded acrylic. It is important to consult the manufacturer's instructions for the specific type of acrylic being used to ensure compatibility and the best results.

 

Additionally, acrylic cement is not typically used for bonding non-acrylic materials such as metal, wood, or glass. For these materials, other types of adhesives such as epoxy, silicone, or cyanoacrylate (super glue) may be more appropriate.

 

To ensure the best result during sticking, make sure the surface is oil free and dust free, if stick at the edge, must be completely flat on both edge, as acrylic glue works by melting 2 pcs acrylic and bond together physically. Clamp the place that you want to stick together by 1 to 30 minutes to form initial bond, after 1 day of sticking, the bond should reach the highest bonding.

 

Can use brushes or water color pencil or needle and syringe to apply.
