Installing Self-Adhesive Vinyl Flooring: Quick Guide
1. Prep is key! Clear the room and ensure the subfloor is clean, level, and dry.
2. Plan your layout. Decide on a starting point (often the room center) and draw a guide for straight rows.
3. Peel, stick, smooth! Remove the backing on a tile and press it firmly in place. Repeat, working your way out in a step pattern.
4. Cutting corners? Measure and mark tiles to fit around edges or pipes. Use a utility knife for clean cuts.
5. Roll with it! Once several rows are down, use a floor roller to ensure a secure bond.
6. Trim time! After installation, cut and secure any trim pieces to finish the look.
Remember: Let the floor cure for 72 hours before heavy use.
