Our Pandan Hydrosol comes from the distillation of Pandanus amaryllifolius, the only Pandan with aromatic leaves. Used traditionally as flavoring for desserts and drinks, an additive to rice to improve aroma and flavor, and as an insect repellant in grain storage area. The Pandan Hydrosol has a warm, sweet and leafy aroma, while possessing the characteristic cooked Pandan flavor.
All our hydrosols come from our distillation of plant materials for essential oils. Pandan though doesn't have any essential oils. For every 1 kilo of plant material, 1 kilo of hydrosol is collected.
These Hydrosols do not contain any preservatives. We pack them aseptically and pasteurized to ensure safety without compromising quality. Not intended for ingestion undiluted without consulting professionals. Shelf life unopened is 1 year. Opened, it varies so please use immediately. Upon opening, please refrigerate. If it gets grainy-hazy (though there are some that are naturally cloudy which can be confusing), the hydrosol might need to be discarded. We recommend adding preservatives when these will be used in product formulations. The bottles can be reused for any purpose.
