Pharmagel Amorphus Hydrogel Wound Filler is a sterile, transparent amorphous hydrogel dressing. It is wound cavity filler with hydrating and absorbing properties. The hydrogel helps to promote wound healing by maintaining a moist wound environment, facilitating wound debridement, and absorbing exudates in wounds that are minimally to moderately exudative. The product is supplied as a sterile single use product, packed in collapsible HDPE tubes. The product is sterilized by gamma radiation. Indications: - Pressure ulcers - Diabetic ulcers - Ulcers of various origins (venous/arterial) - Lacerations and abrasions - Grafts and donor sites - Post-operative surgical wounds - Cavity wounds - Wounds exhibiting dry eschar and fibrinous slough - Minor burns Contraindications: - This product should not be used on infected wounds, third degree burns, highly exudating wounds or on exposed muscle, bones, and tendons. - Do not use on patients with known sensitivity to any of the components of the products. Precautions/ Warning: - Single use only, once opened this product should not be reused. Do not re-sterilize. - Slight stinging sensation may occur in wound beds with exposed nerve ending. Storage: - Store in a dry and cool place: below 25 degree celcius Direction of use: 1. Cleanse the wound site with wound cleanser/ normal saline 2. Apply enough Pharmagel Amorphous Hydrogel Wound Filler to cover the necrotic wound surfaces completely 3. Cover the wound with suitable secondary dressing and secure in place 4. Change the dressing as needed or when the secondary dressing becomes saturated or change acording to establised protocol by a health care professsional 5. How to change: Gently remove the secondary dressing and discard. Rinse away remaining gel with wound cleanser/ normal saline. 6. Avoid forceful removal of dressing if the dressing is adhered to the wound surface. Allow the dressing to soften by saturating it with wound cleanser/ normal saline
