•Pet tortoise are more prone to bacterial and fungal infections than many other reptilians as they are constanly in contact with their own fecal discharge in the aquarium environment.Inappropriate living environment and husbandry can result in infections.

•If you suspect a mouth infection in your tortoise, or if there is significant soreness, inflammation,discharge , disfigurement in any parts of the animals , or if the reptile shows a decrease in activity or appetite, it is extremely important to take it to reptile veterinarian as soon as possible. It can be very difficult to treat infections after the bone and deeper tissues are effected.

•Tortoise and turtles ger eye infection mainly due to unhygienic living conditiond.On many occasion, it is fatal as they will not consume any food once they lose their vision,eventually leading to death.Once the chelonian is seen to have an infection, immediate treatment should be carried out to prevent further deteriortion.Inflammation of the eyelids and the eye are characterized by bacterial overgrowth on the lids.

•Directions:

•for closed eyes: apply one or two drops on affected eye per day for one week.It is important to continue application  for a further 48 hours after  the eye appears normal to ensure that all bacteria have been killed.If there is no improvement after usage, please consult a reptiles veterinarian
