How to Play?

The youngest player begins by holding all the sticks vertically in one hand. Making sure that one end of the sticks touches the playing area, the player quickly releases his hand and lets the sticks scatter.

The player now picks up the sticks. One at a time. The only sticks that is allowed to move is the one the player is trying to pick up. If any other stick moves. That player's turn is over. Add up the score (see scoring) then play passes to the left. The next player can either continue to pick up the remaining sticks or begin again by gathering the sticks and letting them scatter in the playing area.

If a player picks up the black or master stick that player can use it to remove other sticks. For example, the master stick can be used to separate two sticks that are lying close to each other or to flick off one stick that is resting on another stick. No other stick may be used in this way.

If a player is able to pick up all the sticks. That player begins again and continues to play until he moves more than one stick.
